Following the recent 40th anniversary of the release of Ziggy Stardust, I’ve been revisiting all Bowie’s classic seventies albums. Those iconic 12” sleeves are imprinted on my visual DNA and played a big part in my becoming a designer — the hours I spent trying to copy the sleeve of Aladdin Sane onto my school rucksack. Inspired by seeing the ‘Art Remix’ series by Gary Andrew Clarke, I thought I’d apply the same thinking to this seminal series of albums which were such an important part of my life growing up as a teenager in Leeds. A selection of these prints are now available exclusively here for the duration of the V&A exhibition ‘David Bowie is’.
