On a recent family holiday to Venice, my eye was caught by the characterful design of the Venetians’ doorbells (with the odd hand dryer thrown in). From ‘fluttering eyelashes’ to ‘take me to your leader’ alien types, it's hard to believe it's just a happy accident of the design. Whatever the intention, they made us all smile…
