GSS Architecture, a national practice, with offices in Kettering, Harrogate, Gloucester, Milton Keynes and Newcastle, was founded in 1879, making them one of the longest established architectural practices in the country. Despite an outdated external perception, GSS today are a dynamic, forward thinking practice that delivers innovative solutions, from initial concepts and masterplanning through to delivery and completion.
Northbank were commissioned to review and refresh their existing identity to address this disparity. After a thorough identity audit including both internal and external interviews, a new identity system was delivered to more closely reflect their three core strengths as architects, project and cost managers. This included a revised logotype/symbol, a cleaner typographic approach, contemporary colour palette and implementation templates across all areas of the practice.
